Jigsaw24 Media signs deal for sustainable storage

The agreement follows Seagate’s recent launch of a 30TB hard disk drive – described as a breakthrough in hard drive capacity

Jigsaw24 Media has signed a vendor partnership deal with storage solutions company Seagate Technology.

The agreement follows Seagate’s recent launch of a 30TB hard disk drive – described as a breakthrough in hard drive capacity.

Seagate’s CORVAULT system offers a combination of ADAPT (Autonomic Distributed Allocation Protection Technology) and ADR (Automatic Drive Regeneration) allowing for reduced maintenance and e-waste by automatically removing and repairing faulty drives to create self-healing systems.

The company has also pioneered the use of heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) to increase the amount of data that can be stored on individual platters within a hard drive. Its Mozaic 3+ hard drive platform helps reduce the cost, power consumption and environmental impact per TB of storage.

“It’s not hard to see why some of the most well-known storage and compute brands in the world rely on Seagate to build storage solutions on their behalf,” said Jason Cowan, MD of Jigsaw24 Media.

“Their high-performance, scalable and sustainable data storage solutions are not only ground-breaking, but they’re also proven to meet the demands of media and entertainment workflows. Seagate is a valuable addition to our vendor partner portfolio and an important part of our future plans.”
