Twitch is in fashion with Burberry

Burberry becomes the first luxury brand to partner with the streaming service

Burberry is partnering with Twitch to produce an immersive live show of its spring/summer 2021 collection.

It is the first luxury brand to partner with the streaming service.

The stream, which takes place on 17th September at 1pm BST, will employ Twitch’s Squad Stream functionality, that lets a variety of hosts live stream together in a single window. According to Burberry, this will allow them to showcase multiple experiences and perspectives to viewers who will also be able to employ Twitch’s chat function.

“Burberry has always been a brand of firsts and partnering with Twitch continues this legacy. Twitch unlocks an exciting new space where our Burberry community can be digitally transported to feel like they have a virtual seat at our live show,” said Rod Manley, chief marketing officer at Burberry.

The show will be completely remote, with no guests in the front row (or any other seats).
