Red Bee provides OTT backbone for sustainable film streamer

All content available on newyonder.earth is albert-certified

Red Bee’s OTT managed service is being employed by Newyonder, a streaming service that aims to release only albert-accredited content.

The company has debuted two pay-per-view films in 4K UHD on newyonder.earth, and aims to develop its own SVoD as its content catalogue grows.

All films are albert-certified carbon-neutral, sustainable productions, and have minimised travel, compensated for any emissions, hired local crew, and invested parts of the revenue in nature-based sustainability initiatives.

Red Bee’s managed OTT Services enables brands and content owners to launch a fully-fledged streaming offering, rapidly and easily, said the company. It supports all content formats, including live, linear, catch-up and on-demand, low latency streaming, as well as a full range of monetisation options (such as ad-funded, subscription, pay-per-view and vouchers).

Audience segmentation, personalisation and security done via advanced geo blocking functionality and DRM options, as well as its own recommendation engine, added Red Bee.

“We take pride in supporting Newyonder in their quest to make the world more sustainable and inspire others in media and entertainment to do the same,” says James Arnold, chief commercial officer, Red Bee. “Red Bee is already supporting sustainability initiatives in the media industry, and now we are looking forward to following Newyonder’s progress, learning from it, and together taking further steps to preserve the planet”.
