Netflix is reportedly in the early stages of developing a livestreaming option for some of its reality shows.
According to Deadline, Netflix is looking to include live voting in its competition series and talent contests such as its upcoming dance competition series Dance 100, as well as live comedy specials.
There’s no timeline to a possible roll out. Netflix often tests new ideas which it quietly drops if they prove unsuccessful.
Disney Plus recently added livestreaming to its line-up following a successful test during this year’s Academy Award nominations.
In April it announced Dancing with the Stars is to move from its linear home on ABC to Disney Plus for the show’s upcoming 31st and 32nd seasons.
