Amazon Prime Video finally updates its user interface

The roll-out, which began yesterday, includes a primary navigation menu that is now vertically oriented and situated on the left side of the page

Amazon Prime Video is releasing the biggest update to the user interface in a decade.

The roll-out, which began yesterday, includes a primary navigation menu that is now vertically oriented and situated on the left side of the page, directing users to six key landing destinations: Home, Store, Find, Live, Free with ads, and My Stuff.

The upgrade is rolling out to major connected TV platforms this summer including Amazon Fire TV and Roku, as well as Android mobile devices. (Apple iOS mobile devices and the web will follow after that.)

“We are redesigning the Prime Video experience to highlight our broad selection of content and to make it easier for customers to find the content they love,” said the company in a blog post.

While the new design appears to be available in the United States, the company has not announced if it will be debuted in Europe.
