The biggest IMAX screen in the world will open in Germany this week, to coincide with the release of the new James Bond film.
The screen, which is part of the Traumpalast Multiplex in Leonberg, Germany, measures 21.03 metres high and 38.16 metres wide – wider than a Boeing 737 airliner. It weighs over 500 pounds, another IMAX record, and had to be painted by a specially designed robotic arm.
The cinema also includes IMAX’s 12-channel sound technology with new side and overhead channels that deliver greater dynamic range and precision.

No Time to Die was shot with IMAX’s 15/70mm film cameras, the first of the franchise to have been shot using those cameras, and features 40 minutes of IMAX exclusive expanded aspect ratio.
