TV production services specialist rt1.tv has collaborated with Qvest to upgrade two modernised OB vans for live productions. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles which have been equipped with new hardware and feature six workstations, are used by rt1.tv in Germany for broadcasts of the 3. Liga football league.
The vehicles include six Grass Valley LDX92 cameras, audio mixing systems from Stagetec, fibre-based stage boxes and the Artist intercom system from Riedel and a new EVS system including X-File and VIA controllers. Central control is provided by an EVS Cerebrum broadcast controller, and there is a separate sound control room in the rear of the vehicles.
On behalf of FORTY10 GmbH, rt1.tv will deliver the outside broadcast of 3. Liga football league games for Magenta Sport in HD over the next four years. On each match day, six OB vans with their own satellite uplink from the company’s own fleet and 140 employees will be deployed at the match venues.
