Showcased here at IBC is the Ultra 4K Tool Box, which provides tools for manufacturers to design and evaluate their own QL 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI products.
The device supports 12-bit 4:4:4 SDI input formats in YCbCr, RGB and XYZ, wide colour gamut RGB and HDR inputs. It also now supports the analysis and generation of over 1,700 video formats – which the company claimed covered all possible frame rates, colour space, bit depth and link types.
In addition, existing customers of the Ultra 4K Tool Box can harness the Ultra XR tool set to add new high-resolution 4K Waveform monitor, Vectorscope, CIE charts and gamut histograms.
Ultra 4K Tool Box units shipping after IBC will also benefit from the latest hardware developments to reduce the noise floor below other competing equipment, claimed Omnitek, to allow more reliable and repeatable jitter measurement. These developments include the measurement and insertion of jitter up to 25Mhz and will be available as an upgrade to existing customers. Alan Wheable, technical support manager, Omnitek, said: “The
4K Tool Box has proved to be a highly successful product for Omnitek and is in reliable daily use with multiple units at over 70 different customer sites worldwide.”
