Release 2.0 of the MCX7000 Multi-Carrier Satellite Gateway – which is designed to be used for efficient distribution and contribution to broadcast applications – is being premiered by Newtec.
The company describes it as a versatile platform that can function as a quadruple modulator or as a modem with dual demodulator.
The optional AES encryption of the baseband frames gives full protection for closed networks. Newtec claimed this gateway can increase bandwidth efficiency by up to 51 per cent.
Newtec is also demonstrating the latest satellite transmission standard, DVB-S2X, which is available via a software upgrade on Newtec products.
