Dalet shows its Brio

The first technology fruits of Dalet’s acquisition of Gruppo TNT were unveiled at IBC, including the new Brio video platform integrated within Dalet Enterprise Edition.

The first technology fruits of Dalet’s acquisition of Gruppo TNT were unveiled at IBC, including the new Brio video platform integrated within Dalet Enterprise Edition.

Brio records media, performs conversions and stores media locally or on a central SAN, playing out in a range of formats and resolutions.

IT and open architecture-based, Brio’s software codecs support a mix of HD and SD video in multiple formats, with processes for down- and up-conversion. Local and centralised storage are configurable and channel branding and graphic tools are included.

Brio can be used for mass ingest, QC and disaster recovery, and when combined with Dalet Ingest and OnAir, it combines ingest and playout capabilities. It can also extend the port count at existing Dalet installations, with existing supported servers.

Future news – based on former Gruppo technology – can be expected.
