Sunset+Vine scores FA Women’s Football Awards

Awards will be presented tonight at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London

Sunset+Vine has been commissioned by The FA Group to create a live, behind-the-scenes show of tonight’s FA Women’s Football Awards, which takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The show, hosted by Kelly Somers and ex-England Women’s international and Arsenal defender Alex Scott, will be broadcast across the FA Women’s Twitter and Facebook channels, climaxing with the presentation of Goal of the Spring Season Award, voted for by the FA social audience.

It will feature four of the nights key honours, including Players’ Player of the Spring Series and the England Woman’s Player of the Year.

Fans will be encouraged to vote online for the Goal of the Spring Series, which will go live 48 hours before the awards show, with voting continuing during the live show itself. Guests will include Clare Balding, the award show’s key host, as well as the various winners throughout the evening.

David Stranks, executive producer, Sunset+Vine, said: “We’re very excited about this production. It’s going to be dynamic, interactive and a lot of fun. We’ll be encouraging our audience to be active participants, getting their views on the winners and getting them to pose the questions for our guests.

“This commission continues Sunset+Vine’s growing reputation for its involvement in women’s football, coming on the back of our production of England’s Women’s home UEFA Euro 2017 qualifiers and the Women’s FA Cup final 2016 and 2017. We are delighted to be playing our part in broadening the appeal of women’s football to viewers, advertisers and sponsors alike.”
