Sixty has partnered with Opta Sports to take advantage of the company’s sports data analytics.
The deal will enable Sixty’s broadcast customers to leverage the analytics through its interactive TV solution, Ease Live.
The companies will combine on-screen clickable graphics technology from Sixty with Opta’s comprehensive sports data services with the aim of delivering greater value and ensure more immersive sports viewing experiences.
“Sixty’s Ease Live solution combined with our proven experience in collecting, collating and editorialising a diverse pool of live sports data, we have the perfect tools to radically enhance the way broadcasters deliver sports video experiences,” said Adam Bowley, head of broadcast data services, Opta Sports.
“We look forward to Opta and Sixty providing fans with the best possible broadcast, and OTT, sports experiences.”
Kjetil Horneland, CEO, Sixty, added: “Our partnership responds to the need for broadcasters, content owners and distributors to engage with future audiences by unifying all relevant data and video into one seamless user experience.
“By supplying Opta Sport’s market-leading, live sports analytics within our Ease Live solution, broadcasters can now respond to the growing demand for non-linear viewing by enabling viewers to explore, play, interact and communicate with the sports content they know and love.”
