Chris Strellis joins Densitron as director of advanced engineering

Based in the UK, Strellis has previously managed hardware and software engineers, and worked closely with the likes of the BBC, BT Sport, Eurosport, Discovery, NEP and Sky

Former Grass Valley engineering manager has joined the leadership team at Densitron after being appointed director of advanced engineering.

Based in the UK, Strellis has previously managed hardware and software engineers, and worked closely with the likes of the BBC, BT Sport, Eurosport, Discovery, NEP and Sky.

Speaking about his appointment, Strellis said: “I have been aware of Densitron’s presence for more than 15 years, and during my time at Snell we partnered with them on OLED displays for the Maverik switcher panel.

“In that capacity, I already knew Bazile Peter and Chris Goodhall, and was aware of Pete Semerak from his good reputation when we were both at Grass Valley. Joining Densitron was an easy decision to make so I could contribute my broadcast knowledge and continue to guide this field in highly exciting times.”

The company has also announced the appointment of Allan Delaurier as vice president of sales, Americas, and Takao Okada as business development manager – HMI products.

Simon Jones, CEO, Densitron, said: “The past 18 months have been massively important in determining the future course of Densitron at a very exciting and fast-moving time in the broadcast & media industry. Allan, Chris and Takao bring to their roles a wealth of experience that will benefit the entire business as we continue to grow the profile of our market-leading solutions, such as the IDS Control System, and enhance our offering in areas such as haptics and tactile control. They are going to be instrumental to Densitron’s next phase of development, and I am delighted that they have chosen to work with us.”
