New OTT consultancy business launches

Will focus on serving content owners and service providers globally

Kevin Cochrane, a former senior managing consultant at Huawei, is to head new business consultancy and digital services company, OTT Content Consulting.

The company, which is based in the UK, aims to provide strategic guidance to content owners looking to monetise their video assets across new and existing OTT services in all regions.

It will also advise OTT service providers on content acquisition, consumer proposition design, market benchmarking and Go To Market planning.

OTT Content Consulting will act as global Sales agents to OTT related SaaS and PaaS vendors and has already signed deals with a Video SaaS solution provider and a Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) company. 

Cochrane said, â€˜â€™We aim to provide market leading expertise to clients seeking to optimise the value of their content – of whatever genre and format – by designing hybrid business models to offer to OTT platforms.

In the event that clients want to follow the trend and go Direct To Consumer (DTC,) we will advise them on vendor selection along the OTT eco-system to identify the optimal platform architecture including payment solutions, ad-tech, analytics, etc. and help clients to design the most efficient OTT platform and business model to ensure success.”
