Imagine Communications has appointed Tom Gittins as senior director of sales for UK, Ireland and South Africa (UKISA).
Gittins has more than 20 years of industry experience at senior level and previously served as Pebble Beach Systems CEO.
His role will involve expanding the playout and networking business across these markets, as well as supporting broadcasters as they migrate to IP, Cloud and virtualisation.

“The fundamental challenge facing broadcasters and content providers in the UKISA market is that viewers want content on demand, delivered over IP. Having an IP-based back end for production and transmission makes it simpler and much more cost-effective to meet this demand.
