Harris reorganises regions

Harris Broadcast Communications has created new business regions by combining its existing Europe and Africa (EA) teams in one territory, and integrating its existing Middle East and South Asia (MESA) teams in another.

Harris Broadcast Communications has created new business regions by combining its existing Europe and Africa (EA) teams in one territory, and integrating its existing Middle East and South Asia (MESA) teams in another.

Under the direction of Mathias Eckert, vice president of sales and service for Europe and Africa (pictured), the new EA operation aligns sales and services in the region, and delivers increased flexibility in the allocation of commercial and technical resources in-country.

The EA operation is broken down into four sub-regional teams reporting into Eckert. The team leads and respective areas of responsibility are: Sally Wallington, who heads the United Kingdom, Israel and South Africa; Nicolas Berthier, who heads France, Belgium and North Africa; Valter Bordignon, who heads Italy, Iberia, Greece and Malta; and Stefan Weidner, who heads the Nordic countries and Central Europe

“Harris Broadcast is entering the next phase of evolution in this region after years of successful growth,” said Eckert. “A close relationship between all parties involved in complex broadcast projects is key to a successful outcome. With this reorganization, we aim to achieve increased streamlining among Harris Broadcast, dealers and customers at the local level.”

Eckert added: “Day-to-day business continues as normal, and Harris Broadcast customers should contact their local dealers and regional sales managers as they have previously.”

The company has also created a new business region stemming from the integration of its existing Middle East and South Asia (MESA) teams. Under the direction of Said Bacho, vice president of sales and service, Middle East and South Asia, the new MESA operation offers combined local resources to customers driven from its headquarters in Dubai, alongside regional offices in Delhi and local representatives throughout the area.

“Harris Broadcast has achieved significant success across the Middle East and South Asia in recent years, and the key to this success can be largely attributed to our sub-regional sales and service teams in Dubai and Delhi,” said Bacho. “The alignment of our Middle East and South Asia broadcast operations is a logical step both geographically and culturally, allowing us to combine pre-sales, sales and technical service resources to enhance the overall customer experience and provide a faster-response service across this growth territory.”
