Ericsson has confirmed its support of the fast approaching TVBEurope 2020 event, signing up as Gold Sponsor. In addition, Ericsson’s head of media marketing and communications, Simon Frost will be leading a presentation ahead of the panel discussion, ‘2020: Visions of the future’.

Frost’s 15 years in the industry spans strategy, business development, pre-sales, solution design and technical selling for operators in all TV market segments. He previously held the position of head of IPTV compression, solution area TV at Ericsson, and prior to this was business development director for Tandberg Television. He has also held roles at Harmonic EMEA, Philips Digital Networks, Barco Communication Systems and RE.

Frost’s presentation will open a discussion on the wider reaching impact of UHD on production workflow. Participants from ITN, Deutsche Telekom, Aframe, The Farm, and Sony will be discussing the current issues and future predictions surrounding UHD and the future of broadcast industry, in a panel moderated by conference chairman, Jon Ive, director of technology and strategic insight, IABM.

The one-day conference takes place at BAFTA, London on 30 June as part of our first Strategy Week, in association with strategic partner IABM.
