Free webinar: The challenge of choosing sustainability in the video entertainment industry

An expert panel will discuss how the future of the video ecosystem requires collaboration across the video value chain to offer sustainable choices to energy-conscious consumers

TVBEurope and InterDigital are joining forces to host a free webinar to discuss sustainability and the video industry.

The webinar, which takes place at 3pm GMT on Thursday 11th March, is free to join.

A recent report by InterDigital and Futuresource Consulting, “The Sustainable Future of Video Entertainment,” analysed the energy demands of the video value chain, from the production to the delivery, and consumption of feature films, video games, and other video experiences, and identified solutions to reduce the environmental impact of the video entertainment industry. The report concludes that sustainability must be integrated throughout the video ecosystem, from research to manufacturing to content delivery, to be most effective.

The webinar will feature expert perspectives from across the video value chain to address the energy-guzzling technologies, and mitigating solutions, emerging across the video landscape, and the vital importance of consumer awareness and choice in achieving a more sustainable future.

Speakers include Edouard François, principal scientist at InterDigital, Futuresource Consulting’s principal technology analyst Simon Forrest, and Mickaël Raulet, CTO at ATEME.

Don’t miss out on this webinar with leading experts sharing their knowledge of how the future of the video ecosystem requires collaboration across the video value chain to offer sustainable choices to energy-conscious consumers.
