Media Tech Sustainability Summit returns for 2025

Programme highlights include a look at active green production efforts, ESG strategy in practice, and the 'S' of ESG

This year’s Media Tech Sustainability Summit will take place on Tuesday 17th June, with a focus on all areas of ESG.

The third annual summit features 12 sessions and over 40 speakers over two tracks, representing broadcasters, vendors, industry groups, and sustainability experts.

The event is free and takes place from 1.30-7.30pm BST (2.30-8.30pm CEST/8.30am-2.30pm EST).

Programme highlights include:

  • Live from the Field: Broadcasters and content creators share progress and lessons from active green production efforts—featuring case studies from BBC, Livera, Sportcast, and Green Producers Club.
  • Technology Providers in the ESG Era: A candid look at how media technology vendors are meeting growing ESG expectations from customers and investors.
  • ESG Strategy in Practice: Learn how media organisations are using ESG frameworks to drive internal change, attract partners, and report progress, hearing from TAG Video Services, Accedo, and Irdeto.
  • Sustainability in Software: How remote-first and cloud-based software development teams are integrating sustainability into product design, operations, and procurement with AWS, MediaMonks, and ITV.
  • The “S” of ESG: A deep dive into social responsibility—from equity and wellbeing to inclusive hiring and creating a values-driven workplace.
  • Sustainable Storytelling with AI: Explore how AI tools can support the creation of environmentally meaningful narratives and assess the sustainability impact of creative content.
