Evan Shapiro to offer ‘clarion call’ for the media industry at IBC2025

Shapiro, one of the speakers at this year's IBC Conference, promises to share data and insights that show everyone "how to not just survive in this new era, but thrive in the new media world order"

There are two ecosystems co-existing in entertainment: one for Millennials and younger; another for Gen X and older, so says media universe cartographer’ Evan Shapiro.

Shapiro will be one of the speakers at this year’s IBC Conference, where he will discuss what he describes as the media industry’s “widening generation gap” and promises to offer a “clarion call” for the radical realignment of ‘big media’.

“Media is approaching the landing strip of ‘The New Normal’, where creators are the world’s biggest stars; content travels across both social and mainstream media; and where new models will make for very strange and unusual bedfellows; and all economics in media run on the rules of the ‘Creator Economy’,” added Shapiro

“I will share data and insights that show everyone how to not just survive in this new era, but thrive in the new media world order.”
