Entries open for Rise Awards 2023

This year's categories include R&D engineer, Woman of the Year, Rising Star, Influencer, Marketer/PR, Product Innovation, Business Leader, Technical Operations, and Company Award for investment in women

Entries are officially open for this year’s Rise Awards, celebrating inspirational women and companies who are stand-out performers, innovators and leaders in the global broadcast media technology industry.

Submissions and nominations are encouraged from across the global broadcast media technology audience, said Rise. The awards are free to enter and nominations will close on 18th August 2023, with the shortlist will be announced on Sunday 17th September as part of the IBC Changemakers event.

The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at London’s Troxy on Tuesday 7th November.

Entrants can be nominated, or they can nominate themselves. All applications require statements on the nominee and why they are relevant for the award. The judges, across the categories, are looking for the best demonstration of exceptional achievement, innovation, positive impact, and the ability to fulfil the criteria, said Rise.

This year’s categories include R&D engineer, Woman of the Year, Rising Star, Influencer, Marketer/PR, Product Innovation, Business Leader, Technical Operations, and Company Award for investment in women.

Speaking about the awards, Donna Smith, managing director of Rise, said: “Now in its fifth year, we are delighted to present the 2023 Rise Awards. Last year’s event saw women travel from Australia, Canada and the US, with winners dialling in from Bhutan, Mexico and a holiday in the Scottish Highlands.

“With our new bigger venue, we know that the Rise Awards will be the place to be this year to celebrate the women and allies in our industry. It would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, especially Sky and EMG, and we can’t wait to congratulate everyone involved later on in the year.”
