Online TV streaming service Now TV is now available for EE TV customers to access via their smart box. EE TV already offers services including Freeview, with more than 70 channels as well as 13 in HD, and 18 on-demand apps.
Now TV gives users access to movies, sports and entertainment from Sky. Customers can purchase a monthly pass to watch entertainment or movies, or buy a daily or weekly pass to enjoy sport without a contract.
The Now TV app joins a range of existing content available on EE TV which includes catch up and on demand services like BBC iPlayer, Demand 5 and Wuaki.tv. Apps including MUZU, Box +, YouTube, BBC Sport, BBC News and The Weather Network are also available.
“We’ve developed the EE TV service so that exciting new content and services can be regularly added to enhance our customers home TV viewing experiences,” said Pippa Dunn, chief marketing officer, EE TV. “The Now TV app is a great addition to our current content line up, providing customers with opportunities to watch some of the world’s most popular TV series, live sports action and international movie blockbusters.”
Gidon Katz, director of Now TV added: “With Game of Thrones, the world’s most talked about show available to watch from the very beginning, there couldn’t be a better time for EE TV customers to enjoy Now TV. Whether you’re a film fan and want access to Sky Movies or want to watch the biggest games on Sky Sports, it’s great news for TV fans as Now TV offers something for everyone.”
The EE TV smart box is free for new and existing EE mobile customers who also subscribe to EE Broadband plans of £9.95 a month or above. Passes range from £6.99 to £9.99 per month. In a bid to attract more customers to the service, EE has today launched a promotional campaign offering existing customers a free tablet when they sign up to an EE TV and broadband package.
