Discovery Communications will launch a second free-to-air channel in the UK this year.
The company’s CEO David Zaslav revealed the plan during a call with reporters to discuss Discovery’s fourth-quarter earnings.
Zaslav didn’t give any further details of the new channel but stressed it will “make money” in 2017.
Discovery currently has free-to-air channel Quest which is available on Freeview as well as Sky and Virgin.
TVBEurope has contacted Discovery who tell us they “will be announcing further details soon.”
