InterDigital has announced the acquisition of Deep Render.
London-based AI startup Deep Render has been acquired by InterDigital inc. in a move designed to drive the company’s AI-native video research and leadership in video compression. Founded in 2018, Deep Render has pioneered the use of AI in video and image compression, enhancing processing and distribution methods.
Under the terms of the agreement, Deep Render’s AI-based video coding portfolio will be added to InterDigital’s own video portfolio. A team of AI experts will also joint InterDigital’s Video Lab.
