Com Hem, Tele2 merger completes

New company will be known as Tele2 and led by Anders Nilsson

The merger between Swedish mobile operator Tele2 and cable TV company Com Hem has completed.

The companies first announced their plan in January.

The new company will be known as Tele2 and will be led by CEO Anders Nilsson.

“I am both happy and humble about the opportunity to lead Tele2 forward, along with my new management team. In particular, I am proud to lead such a strong organisation with affluent and committed employees. Together, as Tele2, we have enormous potential and will create great value for both individuals, households, companies and our shareholders,” said Anders Nilsson, president and CEO at Tele2.

“Tele2 was already a fantastic company, which is now getting even stronger with our colleagues from Com Hem. We will continue to challenge and drive the development of new, smart and integrated solutions, while allowing more and better connected lives for our customers.”
