Broadcast management company Canis Television and Media has expanded with the opening of new film and TV studios, as well three senior hires.

Founded in 2001, Canis Television and Media now provides for a range of local and international TV companies, offering services in channel planning, development and launch on a variety of platforms, as well as sourcing and acquiring channel EPG positions on digital platforms.

Canis Film and TV is the company’s newly launched two-studio broadcast facility. The complex was built in partnership with Price Studios in Battersea, central London, and offers multi-cam TV and film studio spaces, on top of the existing rehearsal amenities already in the building. It also features an upgraded audio recording facility and new post production editing facility. Barney Rattle, the newly appointed studio and special projects director, will be overseeing the management of the new space and its expansion.

Canis Television and Media has made two additional senior appointments. Steve Webber joins the company in the role of business development manager, and Claire Bramley joins as director of local TV, where she will be responsible for managing Canis Media’s recently renewed contract with Comux and the National Operational Centre in Birmingham.

“Canis Film and TV is more than just a great studio facility it is at the heart of everything Canis is striving to do as a company, which is to offer a fully rounded, integrated service for every aspect of broadcast management and production,” said Rattle. “We are really excited to have our new studio facility open and there are exciting times ahead. “

Alan Judd, CEO, Canis Television and Media, added; “Having undergone some reshuffling in recent months, it feels that the time is now right for us to diversify and expand our offering. Already renowned for our expertise in channel development and management, the launch of the new divisions mean that Canis now offers a unique service for every aspect of broadcast management and production. Steve’s appointment as business manager will help us to cross sell our enhanced services to new and existing clients, and we are delighted to welcome Barney and Claire to the team to manage the studio and local TV elements of the business respectively.”
