Canal Plus has been given clearance by the European Commission to complete its acquisition of pay-TV operator M7.
Canal announced its intention to acquire the Luxembourg-based operator in May for €1 billion.
M7 has a customer base of three million across the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, which would bring Canal Plus’ customers to 20 million across Europe.
Following approval from the EC, the deal is expected to close in the coming days.
