Anaïs Baker joins from NBCUniversal International Formats

BBC Worldwide has appointed Anaïs Baker as executive producer for factual entertainment, entertainment and formats.

The move comes as BBC Worldwide looks to expand its ongoing strategy to develop a slate of “diverse and innovative” factual entertainment content and entertainment formats.

Baker will be charged with managing and developing the slate of new intellectual property with BBC Worldwide’s production partners to serve the factual entertainment and formats pipeline. She will also oversee returning factual entertainment format commissions for BBC Worldwide Global channels, and identify and develop titles from BBC Worldwide’s back catalogue for reinvention.

She joins from NBCUniversal International Formats, and will report to genre director Tracy Forsyth.

In her time at NBCUniversal, Baker was responsible for international format production and development for its international studios business. Prior to NBCUniversal, she spent a number of years working in editorial roles across a range of entertainment and factual entertainment formats, including Doorstep Crime 999, Cherry Wants Answers, Strictly Come Dancing, Strictly: It Takes Two and Perfection for the BBC.

Forsyth said: “Anaïs’ experience in international format production, coupled with her skill in developing factual entertainment and entertainment formats for the global market will allow us to grow our portfolio of compelling formats and IP.”

Baker added: “Whether developing new IP or overseeing local commissions, it all starts with great content and BBC Worldwide’s portfolio is world class. I’m excited to work with Tracy and the team to build on it further, delivering a pipeline of original, diverse formats with strong international appeal.”
