4K 4Charity Fun Run goes virtual

Helping to raise funds for those impacted by Covid-19

The organisers of the annual NAB 4K 4Charity Fun Run are asking members of the media tech community to get moving for a virtual version of the event.

Registration is now open for the run, which this year is helping to raise funds for those most impacted by Covid-19. Donations can be submitted until 1st June, 2020. Anyone wanting to take part can sign-up at the event’s website, 4K4Charity.com/nab.

Entrants can select either a 4K or 8K distance, plot their course, print out a race bib and then complete their run or walk at their own pace.

Organisers are encouraging those who take part to share their 4K 4Charity experience across social media with the hashtag #4K4CharityVRun.

The 4K 4Charity Series has raised more than $1.1 million in gross proceeds since it was founded in 2014. It is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and made possible by sponsors including Planar Systems, Bitmovin, EditShare, Irdeto, SDVI, and Verimatrix.
