Shure has announced the launch of its new MoveMic 88+ Wireless Stereo Microphone.
In what the company said is the first of its kind, the MoveMic 88+ wireless direct-to-phone stereo microphone includes four selectable polar patterns: stereo, cardioid, bi-directional and raw mid-side, aiming to enable users to customise the direction of capture to facilitate scenarios such as two-way interviews and recording in the field.

The latest addition to Shure’s MoveMic family, MoveMic 88+ provides flexible mounting options via two 5/8″ or cold shoe mic clips which attach to most popular tripods or stands, and can also function as a handheld microphone. Pairing with Shure MOTIV apps, the device enables streamlined workflows with the app allowing content recording and live streaming to Facebook, YouTube and other platforms.
Additional compatibility can be provided by pairing with the MoveMic Receiver and connecting to cameras, computers and mobile phones via USB-C or 3.5mm.
In addition, the mic features customisable DSP enabling fine-tuning of audio recordings with gain, EQ, presets, high pass filter, mute and noise reduction controls via MOTIV or Receiver. MoveMic 88+ has a wireless range of up to 100 ft, eight hour battery life and built-in headphone monitoring, said the company.
