Sirius rises for Cornella Project

Spanish production, post production and media services company MediaPro has installed routing and router control technology from Pro-Bel as part of its Cornella Project. Systems integration work was carried out by Unitecnic, Pro-Bel’s Spanish partner, writes Sharon Lock.

The installation of a Sirius 256 router – currently equipped 128 x 128 – and Aurora router control is central to the operation of the new production facility situated in Cornella. This new MediaPro facility will provide production services to both external clients and will also service internal requirements.

The installation is composed of two HD-ready studios with a shared central control and rack room. Key to the operational structure of this project – and where the router technology has a core role – is the fact that it has been structured to allow any system to be used in either studio or control room at any time. This allows the studios and control room to be perfectly configured for any type of production thereby maximising revenues.

The Sirius router acts as both the main in/outs for the facility and also as the internal matrix. It is HD-ready and will allow the production suites to work in SD and HD or both, depending on requirements.

“MediaPro is a highly regarded media facilities company with a powerful reputation for producing excellent work. We are pleased that it has recognised the power and signal flexibility that Sirius provides and we look forward to working with them again in the future,” said Adrian Scott, Pro-Bel’s chief marketing officer.
