Autocue has sold 11 new prompting systems to Doordarshan in India. The deal includes 22 of Autocue’s Master Series Prompters (MSP12) and 11 Wincue Pro News software packages, which will be deployed across Doordarshan’s newsroom estate.

Autocue was awarded the contract after a year-long tender process against the incumbent supplier, succeeding after several rounds of technical and commercial evaluation. Doordarshan has requested Autocue to interface to its own QSeries systems, as well as ENPS via MOS across several Indian languages.

Autocue CEO Frank Hyman said: “The rapid acceleration of our sales in India is a source of great pride to us as we believe it is a vital, and rapidly growing market. This significant deal is one of several major competitive tenders and Indian accounts that we have won back in the last 12 months and an excellent example of the response our new products and service model are receiving.”
