Tiger Aspect uses Aframe cloud for BBC’s Ripper Street

Tiger Aspect Productions chose Aframe’s secure cloud service for BBC series Ripper Street, to make dailies and rough cuts accessible and easily available online, on iPads and laptops.

Tiger Aspect Productions chose Aframe’s secure cloud service for BBC series Ripper Street, to make dailies and rough cuts accessible and easily available online, on iPads and laptops. The company aimed to solve the challenge of getting works in process assembled and distributed efficiently across a widely dispersed team.

Ripper Street’s workflow involved distributing dailies and weekly rough assemblies from location in Dublin to a set of executive producers, directors, editors and commissioners spread throughout the UK. Aframe was used to upload content quickly and store it securely in the cloud ready for easy distribution. Recipients can choose to view content online or download locally to iPad or laptop whilst reviewing the production’s process.

“Aframe presented a much better way for us to work than our previous dailies review process,” said Will Gould, head of drama at Tiger Aspect. “Now, by using a secure cloud approach to store and share content, we’ve dramatically improved the speed of review, and made the entire process painless yet secure.”

“Dailies review can be a nightmare,” added David Peto, CEO of Aframe. “We’re delighted that such an esteemed programme is relying on Aframe to revamp long-established production workflows for far greater efficiency, at a fraction of the cost of dedicated dailies review solutions.”
