Demand 5 rebrands

Channel 5’s video-on-demand service Demand 5 has been rebranded My5

Channel 5’s video-on-demand service Demand 5 has been rebranded My5.

The broadcaster has expanded the service’s range of content, including My5 exclusives, such as Heroes Reborn: Dark Matters, and box sets. It now offers catch-up for all four of its channels; Channel 5, 5Star, 5USA and Spike.

The service will be rolled out across all Android and iOS phones and tablets, as well as its new website, My5.tv. Over the coming months, My5 will replace Demand 5 on smart TVs, set-top boxes, games consoles and other platforms.

“Consumers increasingly expect a much more televisual and immersive experience from on-demand services,” said James Tatam, director of digital media and commercial development for Channel 5.

“We’ve designed My5 to enable viewers to focus on finding and watching great programmes and nothing else.”

My5 is launching simultaneously with a total rebrand across the Channel 5 portfolio of channels, as well as the launch of a new Channel 5 website.
