Sky has signed an agreement with Sony Pictures Television Networks Iberia that will expand its OTT catalogue in Spain.
AXN will immediately join Sky’s OTT platform as part of the deal, with AXN White due to launch later this month.
In addition to AXN’s linear feeds, Sky subscribers will have video-on-demand (VoD) access to some of Sony’s most acclaimed series, including S.W.A.T, The Good Doctor, Absentia and The Brave.
“Adding AXN is a step forward to consolidate Sky’s growing entertainment catalogue, which aims to offer Spain’s most-demanded contents everywhere, at any time,” said David Nuñez, director, market development, Sky Spain.
AXN’s linear signal and VOD content will be available across Sky’s apps for iOS and Android mobile devices, on Samsung smart TVs, PlayStation 3 and 4 and the Sky TV Box, in addition to the web-based platform.
