Amazon has teamed up with Mediapro, IMG and Film45 for its behind-the-scenes TV series following Manchester City through the 2017/18 Premier League season.
Announced last month, the series is expected to be available in Autumn 2018, and will reportedly cost Amazon around £10 million.
The deal adds to Mediapro’s growing international production portfolio, including the co-production of HBO series The Pope. It also recently sold Fe de tears to Netflix.
Rights-broker and producer IMG recently penned a deal for the management of the global licensing and merchandising rights for the next two Rugby World Cups, while production specialist Film45 has been gaining traction for its work on Serena Williams’ behind-the-scenes series, Serena.
