Amazon Prime surpasses 100 million subscribers worldwide

“Prime Video continues to drive Prime member adoption and retention,” Jeff Bezos told shareholders

In a letter to shareholders, Amazon boss Jeff Bezos has revealed Amazon Prime now has over 100 million subscribers worldwide.

It’s the first time the company has disclosed the figure.

Bezos attributed the number in part to the popularity of Amazon Original content.

“Looking forward, we’re also excited about our upcoming Prime Original series pipeline, which includes Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan staring John Krasinski, Carnival Row starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne, Good Omens starring Jon Hamm, and Homecoming, executive produced by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts in her first television series,” Bezos wrote.
