X2X crosses fingers for Oscar glory

PIX and/or CODEX solutions were deployed on eight out of nine Best Picture nominees

X2X Media Group has revealed that eight out of the nine films nominated for the Best Picture Oscar utilised its PIX production solutions and/or CODEX recording and workflow tools.

PIX’s secure communication and content management system was used on 16 movies nominated for Academy Awards: Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Little Women, Marriage Story, 1917, The Lighthouse, Avenger’s: Endgame, The Lion King, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Missing Link, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Ad Astra, A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood and The Two Popes.

CODEX’s high-performance recording and workflow tools were used in nine of the nominees: Ford v Ferrari, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Parasite, Pain and Glory, Richard Jewell, Avenger’s: Endgame, The Lion King and Knives Out.

The Best Picture nominees that deployed PIX and/or CODEX solutions were Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Little Women, Marriage Story, 1917 and Parasite.

The 92nd Oscars ceremony takes place on Sunday 9th February in Hollywood.
