ON-AIR decides to focus on playout

ON-AIR Systems kicked off the New Year by announcing that it is focusing on its solutions and software development business.

ON-AIR Systems kicked off the New Year by announcing that it is focusing on its solutions and software development business.

This includes the ‘K’ Series range of automated television playout systems and the development of new products to complement this range. The company will no longer offer any service based solutions — whether playout or turnkey systems integration.

ON-AIR Systems has seen many changes during the last 12 months with sales of its new ‘K’ Series growing, and its customer base now including more large multichannel national broadcasters as well as smaller local television companies. This in turn has increased the level of development work undertaken in order to meet the diverse range of broadcasting requirements.

“With broadcasters continuing to invest in digital technology, we need to put in place a more feature-rich development path to further enhance our range of playout software and to ensure we have solutions to satisfy all requirements,” said Mark Errington, CEO, ON-AIR Systems. “By dedicating resources to products, we are now in a better position to achieve this goal.”

ON-AIR will continue to cater for the needs of start-up broadcasters looking for cost-effective playout, by offering a range of entry level options as part of its ‘K’ Series television playout systems.
