Genesis-Networks selected Ateme’s latest compression technology for servicing its customers during the FIFA World Cup and the Wimbledon tennis tournament, using over 30 units of the Ateme CM4101 MPEG-2 / MPEG-4 encoders and DR8400 decoders to cover both events simultaneously.

“We are committed to providing our customers with the most flexible and futureproof solutions available on the market. We selected Ateme, as they offered us the only available multiformat solution able to encode and decode streams from MPEG-2 SD to MPEG-4 4:2:2 with 10-bit resolution. The equipment was deployed with very short notice, with excellent post sale-support and worked perfectly in a variety of customer configurations” said Jeremy Dujardin, CTO at Genesis Networks.

Claude Stoffel, Director Sales and Business development at Ateme, added: “We are very proud to be supplying Genesis Networks, a leader in transmission services, with our latest generation of encoding and decoding equipment. This validates that our latest compression solutions are a perfect fit for transmitting the most prestigious sporting events to the most important marquee customers. ”
