Chyron Corporation has announced the first sale of its MicroX HD/SD switchable graphics system to Berlin-based post production facility Eurotape. The MicroX provides the German post house with HD graphics for German TV and the sale was managed by Chyron GMBH, Wiesbaden.
The MicroX allows Eurotape to rebuild animated titles for UK produced children’s television programmes that are being dubbed into the German language. The creativity of Chyron’s Lyric software enables Eurotape editors to rebuild the animated title sequences using the software’s movie tool. The system also provides lower third subtitles for German TV series.
Klaus Mack Eurotape’s technical manager commented: “We needed a sophisticated single channel SD/HD system that would allow our editors to work in a highly creative environment and, which was suitable to work as a stand-alone character device in the online HD-chain as well as a character source on a vision mixer. The animation capability of the MicroX delivers more than we expected and we are very happy with the results that we have achieved so far.”
