The programme for DVB World 2007 includes the topical subjects that are governing the future direction of our industry. In just one year since DVB World 2006 there have been significant developments in areas such as compression, modulation techniques for both satellite and terrestrial systems, the distribution of HDTV and television over the internet. All these subjects in addition to many others are included in the programme, writes Fergal Ringrose.
The Early Bird registration rate is in operation until 31 January, so there is still time to register and take advantage of the reduction in fees. Accommodation in the conference hotel is not guaranteed after 31 January, so if you have registered but haven’t yet booked your hotel accommodation, please do so soon.
In conjunction with DVB World 2007, there will be two Masterclasses, designed to bring participants up to date with the developments in emerging technologies. The chosen subjects are HDTV and MPEG-4. The classes will be held concurrently on Wednesday morning 7 March and will precede the opening of the conference.
The gala dinner this year will be an Irish night in Buck Mulligans pub in the Burlington Hotel . Traditional Irish music will provide the background to a buffet dinner and drinks with time to network and chat with colleagues.
