UK company DSMB Technology is to exhibit at the NAB show for the first time and will launch several new products and ranges. Its plans for the show include the launch of a compact, multi-format, modular video router, a 3G HD digital video distribution amplifier and a 3G video hum eliminator. It will also be previewing the new range of intelligent micro converters. DSMB is actively looking for distributors in North America and invites interested companies to visit its booth. Steve Farmer DSMB’s managing director is at NAB for the duration of the show and will be happy to meet and discuss the DSMB product range. The ATOM RTR16 modular video router (pictured) provides high density 16×16 modular routing of 3G/HD/SD-SDI and ASI video signals via both coaxial and fibre inputs and outputs. It can also accept and output ASI signals via coaxial, fibre or ASI over IP (VLAN). Re-clocking is applied to all outputs and signals can also be output to HDMI or DVI. The device is presented in a 1U case and features redundant power supplies making the ATOM perfect for where there is little space and where reliability is essential. The ATOM RTR16 features high spec firmware that permits remote control by Mac, PC or Mobile device and the ability for the unit to email out in the event of an alarm. DSMB will also present a selection of the its newly introduced ELECTRON products including one of their wide range of digital video distribution amplifiers that accepts 3G/HD/SD-SDI Video and supports SMPTE 259M/292M/297M/424M whilst providing up to eight re-clocked outputs. The DSMB distribution amp range provides options for both analogue and digital signals as well as for connection via both copper and fibre optic. Further products in the line include signal conversion and flexible embedding and extraction functions. The new range of LEPTON intelligent micro converters will be previewed at the show. These units allow various signal conversion, fibre optic interfacing, routing and signal processing functions. The products will not only be offered in an ultra-compact package but will also enable the remote control and diagnostics of the units across Ethernet via the in-built web server or by third party (router control) software. N4421 (Canford)
