Sportway, which specialises in AI-driven sport solutions, has revealed plans to install AI camera technology in at least 30 ice sports venues across Hungary.
According to the company, the initiative aims to enhance the accessibility and development of ice hockey in the country by making all games available to audiences.

The cameras will also enable the Hungarian Ice Hockey Foundation to support player development by integrating advanced video coaching tools. They will also be used to help educate referees, said Sportway, offering a platform to evaluate and improve their on-ice performance, enhancing the overall standard and integrity of the game.
“We are excited to embark on this transformative journey with the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation,” said Daniel Franck, CEO at Sportway Media Group. “Our cutting-edge AI technology will not only open new possibilities for fans to engage with their favourite sport but will also serve as a vital tool for player and referee development, thus contributing to the growth and elevation of ice hockey in Hungary.”
