BBC NHU livestreams behind-the-scenes from Big Cats 24/7 base camp

Filmed using what the BBC describes as the very latest technology, Big Cats 24/7 gives viewers insight into the lives of the lions, leopards and cheetahs of Botswana’s Okavango Delta

The BBC’s Natural History Unit is hosting a livestream from its Big Cats 24/7 camp in Botswana next week.

The livestream will feature camera operators including, Anna Dimitriadis, Gordon Buchanan, Brad Bestelink and Sets Nthomiwa who are currently in Botswana filming season two.

It will take place on 29th September when BBC Earth will be live from camp in the Okavango Delta Botswana and be available on the BBC Earth YouTube channel.

Filmed using what the BBC describes as the very latest technology, Big Cats 24/7 gives viewers insight into the lives of the lions, leopards and cheetahs of Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

“Cutting-edge tracking technology” enables the production team to follow the cats’ movements more closely than ever before, said the BBC, while low-light cameras allow them to capture previously unseen nocturnal behaviour for the very first time.

Series two of Big Cats 24/7 will be broadcast in 2025.
