The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) has announced the second IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event, aiming to expand the range of IPMX-certified products while introducing the formal certification of new capabilities.
Taking place in Geneva on August 24-28, the event, held in collaboration with the Video Services Forum (VSF) and European Broadcasting Union (EBU), will follow a “dirty hands” interoperability session scheduled for July 20-24 at the Matrox Video facility in Montreal, where AIMS members will participate in hands-on testing of new IPMX developments ahead of formal certification.
The August event will certify capabilities that have been in development prior to the launch of the full realised standard, including Host Key Exchange Protocol (HKEP) and the Privacy Encryption Protocol (PEP), which have seen strong interest in their ability to enable efficient media transport across existing infrastructure.
Sam Recine, IPMX pro AV working group chair at AIMS, commented, “The first certification event in January established that IPMX works across vendors at scale. The August event is where we take the next steps, expanding the certified product base and validating the capabilities that integrators and end users have been asking about since certification launched. Each event builds on the last, and the momentum we’re seeing from member companies reflects real confidence in where IPMX is headed.”
Building on the base of 48 certified products from 11 manufacturers introduced at ISE 2026,
