Sawn-off shotgun mic

The SGM-250P shotgun microphone has been released.

It is a shorter, 8-inch version of the established SGM-250 mic and runs on phantom power only. Azden said it features excellent sound quality and a feature set for audio professionals in the TV, film and video production industries.

A newly-engineered microphone element produces broadcast sound quality with true wide band 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, while a new rugged all metal barrel has tightly spaced vertical slots that provide superior rejection to the sides and rear.

Additional features include a two-step low-cut filter, gold-plated XLR output, shock-mount holder, foam wind shield and zippered case.

The mic is handcrafted in Japan and backed by Azden’s 10 year warranty.
