Content Everywhere: A decade of dedicated OTT insight

This year marks the tenth year of Content Everywhere, IBC’s dedicated content programme covering the ever-evolving OTT landscape

The Content Everywhere stage at IBC 2023 offers a free-to-attend programme of panel discussions and product demonstrations exploring the delivery and consumption of content over the internet. Now in its tenth year, it will be hosted over two show-floor stages in Hall 5 and cover themes such as monetisation, artificial intelligence, FAST, the cloud, digital transformation and sustainability.

Here are some of the sessions that caught our eye for this year.

How to Spot Future Opportunities in OTT

This session looks at taking a strategic approach to uncovering OTT opportunities is the key to future success along with innovative thinking and a willingness to experiment with new tech and audiences. A return to more normal patterns of behaviour following the pandemic has been compounded by the cost-of-living crisis, spurring new tactics in the effort to retain users.

The Future of OTT Business Models: Localisation and Personalisation

The death of terrestrial TV has been a repeated topic of discussion ever since the first streaming services gained popularity. But how true is it today? As recently as 2020, an Ofcom paper suggested as many as 85 per cent of all people in the UK aged four or older continue to watch at least 15 minutes of terrestrial television a week.

IBC2023 Content Everywhere Panel: OTT lessons from around the world

This session will bring together experiences from the Baltics and Asia Pacific to discover the common challenges and success factors for OTT video service providers. Panellists will also explore how business models are evolving and the implications for subscriber life-cycle management.
