BBC Global News partners with VICE to launch new weekly programme

Vice News This Week will be broadcast to 340 million households worldwide

BBC Global News and VICE Media has announced a partnership that will see a new weekly programme, VICE News This Week, air on BBC World News in over 340 million households around the world.

Starting this Saturday, VICE News This Week will air every weekend on the channel, as well as on VICE owned and operated digital channels.

VICE News This Week is a compilation of segments from VICE News Tonight, the Peabody and Emmy award-winning half-hour nightly newscast from VICE Media and HBO.

“I am delighted that we are partnering with VICE to bring VICE News This Week to our global audiences on BBC World News,” said Jim Egan, CEO of BBC Global News. “Complementing our own award-winning international coverage, the programme will give our viewers a unique perspective on issues in the United States and around the world.”

The first episode of VICE News This Week launches on Saturday 28th April and will be shown at 12.30am and 4.30pm GMT and on Sunday 29th April at 5.30am and 6.30pm GMT.
