BVE 2017 is set to be the most engaging and relevant show to date, acting as a platform for leaders in the broadcast, AV and live entertainment, connected media and the creative industries to come together. The show has partnered with key industry players to highlight the converging industries and acknowledge how broadcast is fast expanding in to other sectors such as the creative and advertising industries and the AV market.
The output of quality content teamed with the explosion of VR has meant the bridge between broadcast and branded content is getting stronger. Recognising that high-quality content is no longer restricted to our TV or cinema screens, BVE has entered in to a strategic partnership with the Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA). Speaking to its delegates, BCMA will hold an exclusive event in the midst of the show with top executives and content creators in the branded content industry.
Also new for 2017 is Connected Media Europe’s dedicated theatre which will tackle the topic on everybody’s lips: IP focused technology, including IPTV, OTT, mobile, social and cloud.
BVE 2017 will see the return of The Streaming Forum and the AV User Group AGM. The Streaming Forum, which last year included a keynote from Shannon Rutherford, director of digital media video operations, NFL (pictured), will go in to detail and discuss with delegates how the OTT revolution is blurring the lines between streaming and broadcast. Confirmed keynote speakers at the forum will be Mike Rizzo, head of IPTV Solutions, BT TV and BT Sport UK, and Dan Finch, commercial director, TV Player and Simplestream UK.
Following on from last year’s success, the AV User Group will yet again use BVE as the location for its annual general meeting (AGM). Attracting over 300 AV executives, the attendees of the meeting will benefit from the ever-growing AV and live entertainment sector being represented on the show floor.
